The Shibaura Mechatronics Group renamed its CSR Committee to the "Sustainability Committee" in FY2022, incorporating viewpoints related to its management strategies and management issues into its existing CSR activities to ensure that it can respond to social issues in an active and constructive manner.
The Sustainability Committee defined its target as its ideal vision in a decade, used backcasting to set short-term measures and KPIs (key performance indicators), and is now working toward increasing corporate value.
Its core missions include formulating a basic policy and strategy related to sustainability, setting initiative targets for the Risk and Compliance Committee, Social & ES (Employee Satisfaction) Activities Committee, and Global Environment Committee, supervising the state of progress toward achieving these goals, and reporting this to the Board of Directors. The Sustainability Committee met four times in FY2023.
